Hello!

Is there a way to store all jobs into the database itself?
Currently only path for log file is stored into execution table.

I would like to store logs as well there or in any other table.

Test case for this is to have some diagnostic/reporting jobs (like which db/app processes are running,
or maybe some OS specific information) which should be run on a daily, weekly, ..., and so on basis.
I do understand that Rundeck is not a monitoring tool, but it can be used as a lightweight solution for such
reporting jobs and then analyzing their output right from db.

Thank you, Alexander.

Hi Alexander,

Maybe you can achieve this by using the API http://rundeck.org/docs/api/#jobs

Best!

Hi Alexander,

You can implement a storage plugin which writes logdata to a relational database. I'm not sure how it will scale so I'm interested to see your implementation.
