Hi,

Anyone please provide some example on, How to use CURL/WGET command within RUNDECK JOB to Download/Upload files to remote server.

Or Is there any other approach to perform to upload/download files to/from server node.

If you clone the source from GitHub, under the test folder you should be able to find shell scripts that use curl to call rundeck api.  You can use those as an example.

Hi,

I checked the syntax given in the scripts. My requirement is to download a script/excel file from server (added on node) and make some changes and upload it again,

To perform this I passed the below commands in job workflow section :
Am I doing correct ?? Or is there something I am still missing. Please help.

Thanks
Tapan

Hi Tapan,

If you are trying to download a file using curl on a remote node, you need to enter the correct curl command as a Command step, and set Dispatch to Node to true, and enter the Node filters for your job to target the remote node. If you are targeting a single node, use the node name in the Name filter.

If you are having trouble with this, you should explain the problems you are having in more detail. Paste the error or log output.  I'm not sure what part is not working for you.

thanks
