Bill and Michael,
Thanks for getting back to me. I was debating running the race on Saturday, but I don't think I can afford that at the moment; my job situation is unstable at the moment. That being said, I wouldn't mind getting out for a run, and I can meet up afterward. And/or on Sunday.
I'd love to join up for trail runs as conditions permit. I just became the publicity coordinator for the local Ice Age Trail Alliance Chapter and was planning to get some trail runs together to boost interest in the trail (and perhaps some participation).
As for the marathon, I did fairly well. 3:32:something. It wasn't a P.R. but I was fighting a couple of sequential broken bones over the summer that limited my training, so I was happy with it. I hadn't really explored Madison prior to that, and it turned out to be a nice run. Others have told me that it was more difficult than last year's course.
Thanks again, and let me know about Saturday.
Best,
Greg

hi Gregg-
Hopefully Michael will keep you connectecd. He's our unoffical GLUE that keeps the group growing. We are a loose group of about 4 so far. In the winter we usually run Saturday around 9:30 starting at the Bean Connection in downtown Baraboo. Then two of us run Sunday around 10 or 10:30. Usually about 5 miles.
This Saturday there is a 5K in Baraboo: 2015 Winterfest Run/Walk. You can sign up the day of at the Civic center. race starts around 10:45 about a block away.
We usually run on Wednesday night at 5:30 pm starting at the Library.- about 4-5 miles.
After the snow is and the group is ice free a couple of us run trails out at Devils Lake.

Subject: interested in a run group
Hi Michael,
My name is Greg. I've been in Baraboo for the last 10 months or so and have been looking for folks to run with on-and-off since then. I had a renewed interest since I have lagged after the Madison Marathon and the holiday season. Luckily, I stumbled upon your group. I'd love to get more info or meet up for a run. Usually, I'd be up for almost anything with regard to distance, but I've been focusing (if you can call it that) on increasing pace on shorter runs; it might take a few runs (and some nice weather) to get me to want to go much above 10. I hope to see you out there soon.
Best,
Greg
