Dear RUME Community and the broader math education community,
I am writing to invite submissions to the 28th Conference on Research in Undergraduate Mathematics Education. The conference will take place on February 26-28, 2026, in Alexandria, VA (Washington DC Metro area). We are grateful to our colleagues at the Virginia Tech Department of Mathematics for hosting the conference.
This email serves as the first request for proposals (RFP) for the annual conference. The SIGMAA on RUME Conference offers a space for scholars and educators to discuss and engage with research that focuses on issues related to mathematics education at the post-secondary level. Please consult the newly revised RFP for details on submissions and other relevant information.
The RFP document has been revised based on feedback from the Conference Program Committee and the RUME Executive Committee to better support new participants to the conference and students. I also encourage regular attendees of the conference to read the RFP carefully as it introduces changes to the nature of submission and its process.
All conference details can be found on our website: rumeconference.com
If you have questions about the RFP or program in general, please contact me at doktor....@gmail.com. This is a dedicated email address for correspondence related to my role as the RUME Conference Chair. If you have questions about accommodations or any other related details, please contact our local planning co-chairs Estrella Johnson and Megan Wawro at rumevi...@gmail.com.
