2024 Mid-Atlantic RUME Conference Announcement and Request for Proposals

Hello all,

The MA-RUME team this year (Megan Ryals, Ahsan H. Chowdhury, Zareen G. Aga, and Katie Bjorkman) is excited to announce that this year’s Mid-Atlantic Conference on Research in Undergraduate Mathematics Education (MA-RUME) Conference will be hosted at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA, on Saturday, September 28, 2024. Regional RUME conferences are smaller, one-day events that are designed to create a space for local researchers, students, and practitioners who are interested in RUME to connect and form collaborations. The MA-RUME Conference is modeled after the Northeastern RUME Conference and other regional RUME Conferences that have happened across the US. 

If you are interested in attending/presenting at the MA-RUME Conference this September, please fill out a registration on the conference website:

There will be no charge to attend the conference, lunch will be provided, and attendees are encouraged to present their research, research ideas, and/or posters that may be of interest to the RUME community. We especially welcome those new to mathematics education research so graduate students and practitioners who have not yet published research in the field are encouraged to attend and or submit. 

Preference for scheduling presentations will be given to registrations received by August 24th. To ensure sufficient room and catering, please register no later than September 21st if you plan to attend.
