We need your help! We are hoping to include a broader community of education researchers in our open science initiative. We recently received funding from the National Science Foundation and Michigan State University to continue our work to grow an Open Science STEMEd+ Commons platform and community. We need your input to help shape what this platform becomes.
What is STEMEd+ Commons? STEMEd+ Commons is a platform for education, researchers, practitioners, and professional societies. Users can participate in discussion groups, connect with STEMEd+ colleagues across disciplines and fields, and access and share resources for education research and practice. This open science platform will never sell meta-data nor does it support for-profit publishing. It is a platform open to all, with strong financial stability and a sustainability plan.
Join our 45-min focus group and receive a $40 gift card. We will be running focus groups in the second half of April. We would like to take you on a tour of our platform, and solicit feedback from you as a faculty, researcher, and/or practitioner.
If you would like to participate in one of our focus groups, please sign up here. Please also share with anyone you think would like to attend! If you are unable to attend any of the open sessions but would like to participate, please email Linnea Beckett Linnea at beck...@msu.edu.
With gratitude,
Linnea Beckett, STEMEd+ Commons Moderator, CREATE for STEM, MSU
Julie Libarkin, Professor of Earth & Environmental Sciences, MSU
