Hi RUME folks-
I wanted to share that Texas State is having a virtual information session for prospective graduate students on Saturday, Dec 6. If you know any students interested in a Math Ed PhD program (or Math PhD), please share this information.
The Mathematics Department at Texas State has an active and collaborative group of math ed faculty both in RUME (myself, Jennifer
Czocher,
Paul Dawkins, Jennifer, Kristen Lew, Bea Ellis, Cody Patterson) and the K-12 world (Jessica Bishop, Hamilton Hardison, Hwa Young Lee, Samuel
Obama, Sharon Strickland, Alejandra Sorto, Hiroko Warshauer). We have a well-attended weekly math ed research seminar, offer more than 15 different mathematics education research PhD courses, and have a
genuinely welcoming and supportive community.
The info session will include Q&A panel with current graduate students, opportunity to meet advisors, and brief research presentations from faculty and graduate students.
DEC. 6, 2025 | 10 AM-12:30 PM CST | ZOOM
