Dear colleagues,

The RUME 2026 Conference is coming in six weeks! We have some exciting updates to share with you:

  1. The 2026 RUME Schedule-at-a-Glance is now available on our website. You can find it here on the conference website. You will see that in addition to the regular paper and poster sessions, there is a special session on AI for research and publishing, a presentation on the searchable RUME Proceedings website, as well as a sponsored Early Scholar Mixer!
  2. In case you missed it, we have two exciting plenaries for the conference, which include the first joint plenary at the conference. You can find the bios of Dr. Jennifer Czocher, Dr. Felix Ho, and Dr. Daniel Reinholz and their session descriptions here.
  3. The RUME Working Groups are a pre-conference event and take place the morning of the first day of the RUME Conference. You can find more info on the different groups here. If you are interested in attending a working group, please complete this form before February 16. Filling out the survey really helps the working group organizers plan.
  4. The conference hotel is quickly selling out! It still has some availabilities for some of the days of the conference. However, the Residence Inn by Marriott Alexandria Old Town South at Carlyle is a comparable hotel that is only a 3-minute walk from the conference hotel.
  5. Lastly, a reminder that the last day to register for in-person conference attendance is February 6, 2026. You can register here

Hope to see you at the conference. I wish you all a great start to your term!
