2026 Mid-Atlantic RUME Conference Request for Proposals

Hello all,

Katie Bjorkman, Vladislav Kokushkin, Ahsan Chowdhury, Zareen G. Aga, Marcus Wolfe, and Stephen Caviness are organizing the 2026 Mid-Atlantic Conference on Research in Undergraduate Mathematics Education. The conference will be held at Richard Bland College, located in Prince George, VA on Saturday, September 19th, 2026. Regional RUME conferences are smaller, one-day events that are designed to create a space for local researchers, students, and practitioners who are interested in RUME to connect and form collaborations. The MA-RUME Conference is modeled after the Northeastern RUME Conference and other regional RUME Conferences that have happened across the US.

There will be no charge to attend the conference, lunch will be provided, and attendees are encouraged to present their research, research ideas, and/or posters that may be of interest to the RUME community. We especially welcome those new to mathematics education research. Undergraduate and graduate students and practitioners who have not yet published research in the field are encouraged to attend and/or submit. 

Preference for scheduling presentations will be given to registrations received by August 1st. To ensure sufficient room and catering, please register no later than September 13th if you plan to attend.
