The Dept of Mathematics and Applied Mathematics at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA is hiring two 1 year, renewable postdoctoral teaching and research positions. It is open to all disciplines of math and includes math education, as we have 3 math ed tenure track faculty in the department.

Teaching duties: Two courses of introductory mathematics (such as precalculus or college algebra) per semester using active learning strategies in a coordinated setting.

So RUME graduates would be a good fit and I am taking postdoc applicants!

Qualifications: 30 graduate credit-hours or a Masters in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or related field (not Math Ed) are required to teach in our mathematics department. This is if your PhD is not in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, or Statistics.

Please apply by Feb 10, 2026 to ensure your application is reviewed. Please send any questions regarding the job ad to Marco Aldi at mal...@vcu.edu
