Hi friends,

As my final duty as Conference Chair, I am happy to share the Proceedings of the 27th Conference on RUME.  You can find them here with this direct link: http://sigmaa.maa.org/rume/RUME27_Proceedings.pdf

And for the time being they are found on our proceedings page here: http://sigmaa.maa.org/rume/Site/Proceedings.html

As you may remember from the closing of the conference, we have a new website in the works and it is very close to launching, and at that time the proceedings will be moved to a new server.

These proceedings were worked on very hard by Brian Katz (BK) and Kate Melhuish, and I do not think Kate will mind me saying ESPECIALLY by BK who put in an incredible amount of time working on the tedious things that cause me to keep pushing it down my todo list (Kate also put it a tremendous amount of time, do not misinterpret my highlight of BK, these exist because of both of them!!!).

That said, this is the time for you to open them and confirm your paper exists, it is much easier to fix a mistake now when things are fresh in our minds than it is later on.

One change you will see in the proceedings is in additional to listing the citation, we now also list an example paper citation, so that you know how to use the proceedings citation in tantum a specific paper you are citing, that example is:

EXAMPLE PAPER CITATION: Moore-Russo, D., Martínez-Planell, R., & Brown, N. (2025). Student understanding of solids of revolution: Refining a previous model. In S. Cook, B.P. Katz, & K. Melhuish (Eds.), Proceedings of the 27th Annual Conference on Research in Undergraduate Mathematics Education (pp. 46–54). SIGMAA on RUME. Alexandria, VA.

It was a pleasure leading this conference and thank you for all of the support I received from countless folks making each one a success. You will continue to see me as I assist Adi in the transition to him being Chair and the following year I will serve a 2-year term as Chair of SIGMAA RUME where I will continue to support Adi and any other future chair of the conference.

I will still use this email address, but if you have conference specific questions I will no longer be the best person to ask, instead that is our new conference chair Adi Adiredja and his conference specific email is doktor....@gmail.com, or if you have a question about the logistics of the conference you can email RUMEVi...@gmail.com

Take care and see you in a few months!

Sam
