The 13th Southern Hemisphere Delta Conference
on the teaching and learning
of Undergraduate Mathematics and Statistics
Kia ora and a warm welcome from Tāmaki Makaurau, Auckland, New Zealand!
With the threats of the pandemic over the past year, delegates are invited to participate from a distance at a virtual Herenga Delta 2021 Conference. Delta conferences attract an international audience of academics interested in mathematics and statistics education, including disciplinary specialists, education theorists, and tertiary education practitioners across the mathematical sciences and engineering. We warmly welcome our friends and colleagues, old and new, from across the Southern and the Northern Hemispheres to participate in late November 2021. Submissions: Herenga Delta invites you to contribute to the conference theme, Values and Variables
in Mathematics and Statistics Education, with a particular focus on any of the following sub-themes:

· Research-informed evidence-based teaching and learning practices in mathematics and statistics tertiary education; |

· Curriculum design and delivery that addresses the needs of all learners; |
|
· Challenges of wider participation: addressing the needs of non-traditional students at university; |
|
· Values and variables in mathematics and statistics teaching and learning encounters; |
|
· Innovation in teaching and assessment: novel approaches and practices; |
|
· Online teaching and learning; |
|
· Mathematics and statistics for non-mathematics majors; |
|
· Learning pathways into university-level mathematics and statistics; |
|
· Policy and support issues. |

18 April 2021 Final date (extended) for full refereed papers in the special edition of iJMEST.
13 August 2021 Final date for submission of full papers for the Conference Proceedings.
27 August 2021 Final date for submission of abstract-only presentations.
27 August 2021 Final date for submission of abstracts for posters.
