Dear Colleagues,

Are you currently teaching an undergraduate mathematics course? Do you use active learning in your teaching? Have you developed practices supporting instructor joy and well-being?

I am a doctoral student, working with Dr. Matthew Voigt, and we are conducting a qualitative research study examining how instructors sustain active learning through practices that promote well-being, boundary-setting, and joy in teaching.

Participation includes:
  • One 60–75 minute interview
  • Three brief reflective journal entries during the semester
  • One 90-minute focus group
Participants will receive a $50 gift card in appreciation for their engagement.

I would love to know more about your story through this confidential, IRB-approved (IRB # 202600002), and instructor-centered study. If you are interested or would like additional information, please contact me at  bund...@msu.edu and please feel free to share this invitation with colleagues who may be interested.

Best,
Ayesha Maliwal Bundy
