- 10 a.m. Intro to Afro-Cuban Dance with Kati Hernandez (beginner/intermediate) with live, AFRO-CUBAN DRUMMERS!
Get
an in-depth introduction to afro-Cuban folkloric movement, everything from
basic footwork, body movement, posture and the feeling of such dances as
Elegua, Shango and Ogun. - 11:30 a.m. Rueda con Soul'Sa with Duane Wrenn (Intermediate).
Add
a little Soul’Sa to your Rueda. Instructor duane Wrenn revolutionized this
style of Rueda de Casino and he will show you how to add flavor to your dancing
while you also learn amazing Rueda motions. - 1:45 p.m. Xtreme Casino Salsa with Mike and Simona (Advanced)
Learn
Xtreme Casino turn patterns that will leave you twisted and contorted but will
add new tools to play with on a dance floor.
Good health insurance is recommended. =) - 3 p.m. Rumba Guaguanco with Kati Hernandez (Intermediate) with live, AFRO-CUBAN DRUMMERS!
The
posture, the footwork, the game between a man and woman. Learn essential
elements of Rumba Guanguanco. How to “play the game.”
And don't forget ... Saturday night (after Afincando) in the Timba Room is with DJ Sandunga + an authentic Rumba with live, Afro-Cuban drummers.

Learn
turn patterns for Casino Salsa that have that added extra spice and style.
Instructor duane Wrenn will show you how to incorporate more grace, feeling and
energy into your Casino Salsa. - 11:30 a.m. Ruedalicious Patters with Mike and Simona (Intermediate).
Fun,
crazy Rueda de Casino patterns that involve changes in direction, partner
switches, clapping, screaming, stomping … well, hell – just good ol’fashioned,
Rumbanana-style motions. - 2 p.m. Afro-Timba with Duane and Kati (all levels).
An
intense session focused on musicality, movement and sabrosura. Inspired by
Cuban rhythms and dances, this workshop provides tools to enhance and improve
body movement, while challenging you as a dancer.
