The next few weeks will be busy for us, Casineros.  Check out these special events and join us:

Cuban Salsa workshops - January 31 and February 1 in Corvallis

• Tuesday, January 31, 6 - 7:30 p.m.: Put the KAPOW in your Casino, Part II (for interm. to advance dancers)
  Follow up workshop to Part I.We'll give out more information about how you can create personality and flair in what you do on the dance floor. Using individual elements for leads and followers, we'll push you further down the path to becoming truly creative. We'll also put extra time in this workshop into how you can take combinations and turns you already know and create new ones. This workshop will help you define your own personal style while dancing Casino.  COST: $15
• Wednesday, February 1, 7:30 - 9 p.m.: Advanced Rueda Motions (for advanced Casino dancers)
  Rumbanana performance group creates 3 or 4 new rueda motions each year for use in demonstrations. We'll kick off our latest invention by teaching it to you! This workshop will include one or more motions as a way for you to learn some of the key concepts for dancing higher level rueda motions. Test your reaction speed, turning ability, and spatial awareness with these motions that switch directions and partners quickly. COST: $15

One Night in Cuba in Portland on February 3 - special night with performances

• A night of dancing, performances (yup - special night) and partying ... all set to the amazing music of Cuba. Join Rumbanana Salsa Group for One Night in Cuba at Aztec Willies on February 3. We're playing Cuban hits all night - Timba, Cubaton, Cha Cha Cha, Son Cubano. 
• PERFORMANCES by Ladies of Rumbanana, Rueda Pa'Gozar, and Mike and Simona - directors of Rumbanana Salsa Group. 
• Cover is $5. LOCATION: Aztec Willies - 1501 NE Broadway St. in Portland
• Event starts at 10 p.m.
• Warm-up for the party by attending a pre-party party at Paradise Dance Studio in Portland (826 SE Belmont) hosted by Portland Casino Fridays, and watch a Rueda de Casino demo, and dance with special guests. Shindig starts at 7:30 p.m.
