Hi,

I am curious to know whether the RUM is still developed and
maintained. I am using the current version of rum and it is still
OK.

Regards,

Krish

Hi Krish!
We are living :-).
Thanks for asking.

Indeed, I put much efforts into an app based on RUM, which I will
maintain for a very longterm perspective.

Cheers,
Michael

I just pushed some changesets containing first experimental support
for hiding columns.
In a big enterprise (legacy) table with 20-30 columns, relations,
computed values (column_properties) you cannot display them all.
Moreover, different users would like to see different values.
So my solution is to generate them all, but make only the most
important columns visible by default and use
show
and
hide
buttons.
Cheers,
Michael

and a big usability improvement:
clicking on rows opens the corresponding object in "show"-mode.

Michael

Is this change set removes the issubclass issue we faced last time?
How to get the change set?

I use the one took from here.

Dear Krish!
The current version should include all workarounds for the issue.
The url
http://hg.python-rum.org/tw.rum/archive/tip.zip
always points to the most recent version.
So you can use it if you like.

Cheers,
Michael

My next big goal is to have autocompletion working for search term
(depending on the column you search in).
Cheers,
Michael
