2009 HIGH SCHOOL AND U19 CHAMPIONSHIPS

 

As we approach the middle of your season’s I am pleased to announce details for this years USA Rugby South Youth Championships.

 

DATE: Saturday April 25, Sunday April 26^th.

 

LOCATION: we are very grateful to MTSU for hosting the 2009 Championships.  Tony Neely and his crew will be sending out details reference Hotel options and local facilities.

 

SEEDING: Seedings based upon 2008 results are as follows.

*¹ Single School; Does NC intend to declare a team for Single School

*²  Single School; Does AK intend to declare a team for Single School

*³ Girls, do we have any additional declarations of entry,? NC, SC, LA, AK?

 

If any STATE is not going to declare a team for its allocated slot then please advise ME, ASAP so I can offer that slot out.

 

Single School Boys; will NC and Arkansas be declaring a team for this division, you are entitled to one place. 

 

Also in 2008 we only had 4 girls teams entered, if any other State is going to declare a girls team, please let me know. Also, if any State wants to enter a second Girls team, please advise.

 

DECLARATIONS: All States/LAU’s need to declare there entries by Division (not teams but intent to send a team) to ME by April 3^rd.

 

SCHEDULE: please see attached spread sheet.

 

ELIGIBILITY: AS previously published for 2009 we will be using the new USAR Youth Eligibility requirements. Copy is attached.

 

CLUB DECLARATIONS: as soon as each State knows their qualifying team please let ME know. They will be required to submit the following at registration for the Championship.

   TEAM LIST, 25 players max. Prior to each game the 22 players, (15 starters and 7 reserves)Roster Sheet must be submitted I hr prior to kick off to the organizers tent.

   Signed Release/Competition Waiver for each player, see attached.

   Signed Participation Agreement signed by your governing LAU.

    Each Player must have:

o       For Single School Division, School ID or Roster signed by the school registrar that each student is full time enrolled plus picture ID.

o       For Multi School Division, Picture ID with proof of age.

o       For Girls Division, Picture ID with proof of age.
