SOUTH HS CHAMPIONSHIP

Hi, first my apologies if you get this more than once, we don’t have a good data base on HS organizations so I have gathered all the addresses from e mails I have received plus the e group and used it like a scatter gun.

Date of the Championship is May 4/5.

Unfortunately I will not be able to attend as my daughter is graduating college on the 4^th. Tony Neely will be the acting South Championship Director, aided by Marty Bradley and mark Williams.

 

Format.

 

HS Boys

 

Single School, U19.  Players must present CIPP proof and School ID.

 

Multi School, U 19. Players must present CIPP, proof of registration (USA team CIPP roster) to the club and School  ID.

 

HS Girls

 

Mixed or multi, Players must bring proof of CIPP and school ID.

 

The target is to have one of each teams representing each State (we have 8 states in the South, I think).

 

By April 19 I need to have each LAU Declare there qualified teams. Also please provide me a runner up so If we have brackets with less than 8 then I can include runners up.

(Note USA Rugby are promoting HS rugby to be State Based so when a State reaches the critical mass to be adopted by the State HSAA we slot straight in, so I want our Championship to mirror that as much as possible.

 

BRACKETS/SEEDS

 

As this is the first year we have separated and are having a South Championship brackets will be decided by the old fashioned method of names in a hat. #1 pick is bracket A1 # 2 pick Bracket B1, 3^rd pick will be A2 etc.

 

After this year brackets and seeds will be based upon this years results.

 

Please forward this e mail to your HS Directors, Schools who ever and let me know who I should add to the distribution.
