Popular browsers boast a plethora of features, but often fall short in fully protecting users. This is especially crucial as we enter a new era of WFH and hybrid work. With our advanced remote browser technology, Puffin Secure Browser provides all the benefits without sacrificing security.
Puffin Browser, with its revolutionary JavaScript engine and cloud computing technology, utilizes servers to preprocess and compress web pages. While most browsers depend on the limited local computing power to render web pages, Puffin can leverage the unlimited cloud computing power to do everything better and faster. In the following video, you will find how Puffin and the built-in Edge browser perform on a commodity PC
Puffin Browser, also called Secure Browser, is a web browser that's built and designed for faster Internet browsing and it introduces a few privacy features. Full encryption of web traffic and prevention of DNS hijacking are headline features.Puffin isn't really freeWhile the program is free to download and install, it does require a small subscription price to pay for its cloud services. Once you've activated your Puffin account, a free month trial is activated so a credit card or payment method is required to get started. What Puffin Browser does is uses cloud servers to add additional speed and encryption for its users. The rendering engine is cloud-based, so it takes some of the load off of the PC in order to speed up rendering.Clean layout matches blazing speedsThe look and layout of this web browser is pretty flat and modern-looking and whizzing through the menus shows off its speed. It doesn't seem to suffer from some of the slowdowns and lag that other browsers might experience and thus makes surfing the web a little bit faster. Another factor in improvements speed-wise is Puffin's JavaScript engine which uses the cloud to pre-process and compress code.A lot of traditional browser featuresThe menu system of Puffin Secure Browser provides access to bookmarks, history, appearance settings, search engine settings and so on. It includes, be default, a password manager and full encryption of all Internet traffic regardless of whether HTTPS is in use.All in all, Puffin Browser is a very interesting web browser that includes some features that aren't yet common but the drawback might be the $1 per month price tag in order to fund its services.Features of Puffin Browser
So recently puffin browser had an upgrade which requires user to sign up for their free trial and after that you have to pay in order to use it. I don't want to pay for it, is there any alternative to browsers like these because I used to use puffin to bypass the network in school to play aqw. Any help is appreciated thanks.
I have this browser on 2 of my PCs and having serous video rendering issue. The video loads very slow and plays very choppy. But when I turn off the cloud, then everything is fine and works. Anybody here using this browser and having same issue?
Puffin Web Browser Free is an Internet browser whose main strengths, compared to competing apps for Android, are speed and excellent support for flash, which comes with it. That's right: with this browser, you can run pages (or games) in flash.
This means you can watch any video or play any flash game without problems directly from your browser. The only drawback is that, depending on the website in question, the device might slow down a bit. But, of course, this is better than nothing.
Besides this very slight drawback, Puffin Web Browser Free is a very fast browser with a good tab system and the option to block pop-ups automatically. It also includes a keyboard, mouse, and virtual gamepad so you can take full advantage of your ability to play flash games. Just click on the corresponding button and activate it at the bottom of the screen.
Uptodown is a multi-platform app store specialized in Android. Our goal is to provide free and open access to a large catalog of apps without restrictions, while providing a legal distribution platform accessible from any browser, and also through its official native app.
In an AIR app;. this passes the request onto the underlying operating system. From within your application you cannot control how the OS handles it; which means you cannot control which browser is launched.
We have a need for flash on our school iPads in order to use pearsonsuccessnet.com. To accomplish this we use the free Puffin browser. I have had requests from teachers to create a shortcut icon on the homescreen that points directly to the login screen for pearson in the Puffin browser. Do any of you know how/if this can be done?
I recently downloaded and purchased the puffin browser from the App Store as I'm a tv addict and it was recommended as it's good to use for watching things on. However, upon downloading it I discovered there was an issue with it. A window kept popping up saying "connect to server, portal error, network diagnostics". I then clicked into network diagnostics and went through 3 steps which basically told me everything was okay and to wait a moment and restart the browser again. Which I have done about a billion times and still, no solution. So basically I'm just wondering is there any suggestions or solutions to fix this? Thanks!
I Had this same problem too, all I did to fix it was to go to settings, scroll down on the side bar on the left, to Puffin, then click on that and turn on "Use HTTP tunnel" It worked for me and now my puffin is as good as new!
Hi David,
There is a way that used to work and that is to run Airtable from a browser window in Puffin Browser Free. This browser also offers an onscreen trackpad that is useful for choosing menu items. Unfortunately starting maybe around week 1 of February Airtable tables no longer appear after you have logged in. i have a help request logged for this issue but have not received a reply yet. I have tried this method on two iPads and an iPhone and they all behave similarly which seems to mean the issue lies with Airtable and not the browser which has not changed versions since December last year.
The Puffin browser is supported on both desktop and mobile, and they have greater differences between each other than most browsers usually do. The desktop version requires a subscription of either $2 per month or $12 per year.
The browser still retains the same minimalist appearance and keeps most of its features out of the main interface by storing them in the settings menu. Puffin is the best browser for Android and is also available for iOS.
Puffin is a noticeably slow browser even at low loads and often struggles with loading images and video. The only browser slower than Puffin is Internet Explorer, and everything else races ahead by a long shot.
We recommend taking a look at our list of the most secure browsers to fully explore all of your options. Puffin took the number-one spot on this list, but if you still need more features or faster speed, there are plenty of close contenders worth considering as well.
What do you think of Puffin? Are the security benefits worth the price, or do you prefer other browsers that are free? How much do you trust Puffin with your security? Tell us what you think in the comment section below, and as always, thanks for reading.
Puffin Browser also has the ability to compress the web pages it loads, saving your data. This function can be turned on and off. The compression system is only active on pages without videos and flash content. On average, I save about 70% of my data when using this browser
