The event is free and open to the public, includes free admission to the museum all day, and will happen rain or shine.

ABOUT MY PIECE:

NETWALK: a Collective Garment

Netwalk is a collective garment in which a series of individual belts worn by participants interconnect to create a unified network of red, orange, and magenta fabrics. The piece brings attention to the core of one's own body and that of others, and to the exchange between personal and collective power. When a group of people have successfully hooked into the garment, we will walk the length of the block together, negotiating the rhythms of our collective body and of our environment.

Netwalk is a participatory artwork. Anyone attending the Rubin Museum Block Party is welcome to partake. You will need to commit approximately 30 minutes for the full experience.

Location:

marked “C” on the event map

111 West 17th St.

south side, near 6th Ave, in front of Seranata restaurant

(In case of rain we will relocate inside the museum)

Walking sessions will begin at approximately

1:15, 1:50, 2:25, 3:00
