I have a ruckus metroflex and the past two days, its been working good,

consistent speed and connection then today, it's been soo slow.
1-4KB/s. I figure perhaps its peak hours or so but i decided to power
cycle my modem and my speed is back to what it was before, about 40KB/s

on average. any reason why i need to power cycle my modem? thanks.

No, you should not need to reset. Can you be more specific about your
configuration? Is the device in Bridge or Route mode? Do you have it
connected directly to a PC or to another router?

Thanks!

Currently its route mode (mainly because i want access to the router's
web interface) and DHCP/NAT on, connected to airport express. That is
set to DHCP only, NAT is off. For the most part, it works great.
After i restarted it last night, it was working really well all
throughout the night.

Can you keep an eye out and let us know when/if it happens again. If it
does, can you go to the web interface support section and copy the
information listed?

Did you verify that there is no IP/routing conflict between the IP
addresses handed out from the Airport and the Ruckus? We default to
192.168.1.x.

Thanks!

Okay, will do.

i think there is no ip conflict

ruckus is 192.168.1.101(dhcp on, nat on) and airport is 192.168.1.102
and it gives out 192.168.1.1.103-105. (dhcp on, nat off)

before my last power cycle, it was up and running well for 3 good
straight days. i'v only had the modem for a few weeks and i've been
moving it around to find a good spot.

thanks.

Ok, let us know. Try just resetting the Airport next time and let me
know as well.

This happend again after 2 days and 8 hours of uptime. I think dns
stopped working because on some sites, it works fine and on some, it
just times out. Eric, I emailed you the log before and after the
reboot.

I think we may know what the problem is. When did you email me the
logs? I have not received anything.

Eric
