I get a strong GoogleWiFi signal from both the Ruckus and my laptop
and I get a strong GoogleFiSecure signal on my laptop. I set up the
Ruckus exactly as described at:
http://wifi.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=65776
with the username and passowrd that works on my laptop, but I only get
a "Disconnected" signal. I can see the SSID, but something is wrong
with the password or something.... I've tried it many many times and
it still comes up at "disconnected"
I asked the guy at ExpressNets, but he said "they don't have much
experience with GoogleWiFiSecure". But this was the reason I went to
them to get a router that would work with the secure network!
Does the thing need to be in "bridge" mode? I'm not using bridge mode
at the moment, and it works fine with the open GoogleWiFi.
Have any of you gotten a Ruckus to work with GoogleWiFiSecure???
Thanks,
PH

Hi PH,

What version of the firmware are you running on your MM2211? Could you
please send email to sup...@ruckuswireless.com with the support text from
Maintenance->Support page when you log in to your 2211?

We've tested the GoogleWiFiSecure and didn't find any problem.

Kind Regards,

Kyung

Thanks for the reply.
I have software version: 3.5.0.1592 and I've sent the support file to
you e-mail address.
which the guy at Expressnet said was the latest...

Tonight I tried changing my password on the GoogleWiFiSecure prefs
page and for whatever reason the new passowrd worked! go figure...
Maybe the old one was flagged for too many retrys.

In any case, I'm up and running.

I'm not sure how to tell if I have a good signal or not... The stats
say: 13.6 Mbps throughput and 26dB SNR, but there also seem to be a
lot of retries and Discard errors, but maybe these are normal...

Thanks for the help, but for now things look good!
PH
