RVM Failing on Rails install

I've been attempting to install rvm and it fails when installing Rails on my Mac with 10.8.4. If anyone can explain how to fix this problem, I would appreciate it.
ERROR: Could not find a valid gem 'rails' (>= 0), here is why:
Unable to download data from http://gems.rubyforge.org/ - Errno::ETIMEDOUT: Operation timed out - connect(2) (http://gems.rubyforge.org/latest_specs.4.8.gz)

this were temporary problems with the servers / "internet" - should work fine now
