Hello all, I'm investigating in replicating a live database, I have a couple of questions.

1. Can Rubyrep handle Postgres schemas? I have a database and all data and tables in the database reside in a schema other than public.
2. To get the replication going do I need to have a copy of the database on both servers initially or can rubyrep be configured to copy a database from one server to another server before scanning and replicating?

Many thanks,

Martin.

hi Martin,
1. Yes, rubyrep can handle Postgrs Scmema. include :schema_search_path=>'schema name here'  in your config file.
2.As far as my little knowledge is concerned, you have to copy database, schema and tables (at least structure) etc for the first time.
