Hi all,

I've created a simple exercise to compare different languages:

This was done mostly to see how something that I can picture being
done in an OO style will be implemented in functional languages (my
current interest).

To date I've received quite a few submissions from all over the world
in languages like Smalltalk, Haskell, Clojure, Awk, Scala, Erlang etc.

I also have one implementation in Ruby, but the guy who did that is
clearly not a Ruby programmer. The code is terrible* !
Does anyone here feel like doing an implementation that will show off
the elegance of Ruby?
I think the people comparing different implementations of this deserve
some proper Ruby.

* P.S. I can neither confirm nor deny any rumours that the Ruby code
