All development languages and frameworks have their challenges. AngularJS is far from the worst but it does require some expertise to use it. I have implemented it with Rails and was very satisfied.

Did you ever tried something else for SPA? Probably for other project.

I mostly talk about SPA. To me, main AngularJS flaws are leaky and non-orthogonal abstractions.
