Deploying Rails project

Hello Everyone,
I am new into web developemnt and want to use Ruby on Rails for my
project.Recently I have bought WebHosting Space with Linux OS and
Apache Server but it seems they do not provide Rails hosting.
Is it possible that i install webrick or mongrel (which is better ?)
and install rails and deploy my application there.
Kindly give me step by step guide for doing this

Whether you can install anything would be dependent on whether your
hosting company gave you root access...if not you could try e-mailing
the hosting company and see if they will install Passenger, or one of
the servers you mentioned.
