Are you a skilled developer?

I am not.

What I have is the potential for a project with a very large customer base, ready to put the product to use.

Here's a description of what the product needs to do:

"a system that automatically captures leads from all sources including phone, dumps them into one easy to use contact management system, recognizes the type of inbound inquiry (rental, seller, buyer, vendor) and then puts them into a drip or seamlessly integrates with 3rd party contact management systems and allows a team leader/manager to assign leads and track activity"

That is directly from the client, word for word.

At this point I'm looking for any input from people with a proven track record.

Tell me what you think.

What is the first thought that comes into your mind regarding such a project.

Thank you.

"delusional" :-)

Just take the first part:

"...automatically captures leads from all sources including phone"

What are "leads"? What are "all sources"? "including phone" -- what
phone? Mobile? IOS only? Blackberry? Land lines? This "system"
can monitor all voice traffic to/from certain phones? Awesome.

Do you know anyone who can get on the NSA "Friends and Family"
plan to leverage their traffic capture infrastructure? :-)

You might have to adjust the client's expectations a bit, I think...

FWIW,

I think that you will install an app on your cellphone that will provide all that information to a server.

It makes more sense.

a system that automatically captures leads from all sources  including phone, -

- A from that takes inputs - also has a parser which can analyze and create data.

dumps them into one easy to use contact management system,

The end structured data is moved to a contact management system ( normalization )

recognizes the type of inbound inquiry (rental, seller, buyer, vendor) - ( normalization again )

and then puts them into a drip or seamlessly integrates with 3rd party contact management systems

could be services like insightly to track sales and leads - API

and allows a team leader/manager to assign leads and track activity

Import data from third party or track progress in the same system and show graphs and structured data.

Pretty straight forward.

Hi,

It sounds like a job for a handful of services. And it might be doable without writing a single line of code yourself.

If you are not yet familiar with zapier.com, go ahead and take a look, you can wire together most modern cloud based services on that hub today.

I am the creator of www.myphoner.com - a simple and easy to use lead management system, that integrates with zapier (request for invite), and many of my customers have set up integrations to other services such as highrise, mailchimp, or even bigger CRM systems using zapier.

I'd spend a couple of hours to research if you can put together a mosaic of services that solves your problem. If something is missing, you can just build that missing piece and wire it up to zapier or directly to the APIs of the services you need to capture data from.

Just my five cents,
/Jeppe
