need help: Prototype/Scriptaculous Hover Menu?

to Ruby on Rails: Spinoffs
Can anyone point me in the right direction to find a simple Hover Menu
effect/script?
And what I mean by hover menu is something that looks more like a
'context menu' than a 'site menu'.
I'd like to use Prototype/Scriptaculous since I already have them
included.
Any online examples?

So you need someones help sorting out the good techinques from the
junk.

I was looking for something more like a tootip that stays up long
enough to click hyperlkinks inside it and appears below the item (so
to look like a menu). Not sure I want to define all my menu items
like Proto.Menu requires.
May look at this tootip.js and see if I can adapt it to what I am
trying to do.
