MapKit

Hello everyone!

Anyone have any good MapKit examples they've used as a point of reference for building out some simple mapping functionality? Basically just looking to plot a single point on a map...nothing too sophisticated. I think I can get myself there through Apple docs but being fairly (ok, very) new to the iOS sdks - and RubyMotion - any reference would be invaluable.
