Yep (rather Textmate vs. Vim) and tpope isn't a great presenter. ;)

Editing habits are helpful and I wouldn't discourage discussing it.

I like VIM and use it almost every day but other than the basics
(:w, :split, yanking etc) I don't really know the "tricks-n-
whistles".

so yes, I think it would be cool.
