TextMate 2 document tabs (not indention)

TextMate 1 had variable width tabs for each document:

This is great, because it’s much easier to scan than what I have in TextMate 2, same-width title tabs:

Is there a way to change TM2’s title tabs to be variable width? In other words, to fit the title width? 

It seems to me there must be, as screen shots I see of TM2 on the Web all appear to use variable width title tabs. Yet, so far, I haven’t found the setting to enable this.
