While we're waiting on the 'official' abstract, I gleaned this from email exchanges: MagLev was going to the focus of the talk but Steven wants to expand the scope to include what's going on with Smalltalk Today. As a former Smalltalker who was I to say No?

Steven is going to present, talk about the current landscape in Today's Smalltalk. There was mention of a MagLev Demo. He's also going to talk about Ruby and its similarities with Smalltalk.

I'll replace my dribble once I get the 'officia' abstract. But I'm fairly confident we're going to talk about Smalltalk in the meeting. If you've never heard of Smalltalk, this meeting is for you. If you've ever been curious about Smalltalk, this meeting is for you. If you want to see one of Ruby's major influences, this meeting is for you. Hell, this meeting is for you!
