Hey everyone,

I am completly new to ruby, but I need to run it for several processes at my new job. The problem is that whenever I try to install ruby, and the run "ruby -v" in the command prompt, I get the error "Ruby Interpreter (CUI) 1.9.3p125 [i386-mingw32] has stopped working".

I have found the following post in this group that has the same issue:

https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/rubyinstaller/F4pZVCEe4Ec

The problem is that this post ends with the creator re-imaging and everything starts working for him. For me this is not the case. Being new there was very little on my computer in the first place when I got this error, and I have re-imaged just to make sure that I don't have a bad image and it still fails.

The following are the things that were asked for in the previous conversation, but on my computer:

Thank you for your time,
