Hey all,
Open Source Bridge is coming, and the organizers have offered RubyGorge one free pass to raffle off. If you don't know what Open Source Bridge is, check out the webpage. I've proposed a talk on building a programming curriculum for teaching beginning programming in Ruby. The organizers have asked for other proposals from RubyGorge as well, so if you have an inkling to present, add your proposal.
I'd like to schedule a meeting for Thursday the 25th, which is the final day for early bird registration for the conference. At that meeting, we can draw for the free admission pass if there are folks who will use it and want to enter their names.
Also, at the last meeting, we discussed having an actual project to work on, to help us Ruby Newbies grok aspects by actually coding. I think I've got a great idea for a simple(ish) project that RubyGorge can do that would help us, and help the Gorge Tech Alliance as well. So I'd like to bring that up on Thursday 25th.
Let me know your thoughts on this date. If I don't find an actual home for RubyGorge by then, I can host again at my place.
Cheers,
-J
