Understanding gem customers better

Hi All,

Is there a way to know what gems are typically bundled with my gem?

My specific example:

I'm looking at dropping support for rails 3.2 and 4.x for the ancestry gem.

Obviously, if many rails 4.x apps are using this gem, that would not be a good idea.

As a fallback, understanding the general popularity of rails is useful. Think there are a few surveys out there.

But I care about my "customers" more than the general trend.
