Hi. Using visua visual studio 2015 community. Using windows 10, a blind it
student doing software development degree from http://www.upskilled.edu.au.
Use a screen reader jaws for windows from http://www.freedomscientific.com.
Trying to install iron ruby 1.13 , and see if I able to install just taking
a while to install. If not, then what other tools. Doing the subject c # and
paradines and got the exercise files from http://www.pluralsite.com. So, any
good accessible ruby tools. And if I try to load my sample project in visual
studio, get the incompatible project. Any ideas, how to fix this, and tried
the ruby interactive , not accessible with my screen reader. Tried, visual
code, but same issue. Hat eit when ms takes out support for ruby, just want
the ruby project templates, ide, sds, and able to edit ruby files in visual
studio 2015.

Any ideas. I am in Adelaide, Australia.

Any ideas.

Marvin..

Hi Marvin,

sorry this is a mailing-list dedicated to the development of the
Rubygem tool and infrastructure, but I will try to help you.

It seems you're trying to the following course, on C# programming
fundamentals, at Plurasight :
https://www.pluralsight.com/courses/csharp-fundamentals-2

I see the course has a "Calling Ruby" exercice, which I guess involves
calling Ruby from C# using the DLR.

Unfortunately IronRuby is not maintained anymore but its counterpart
for Python, IronPython, is still being worked on.

What you could do is use IronPython instead of IronRuby to complete
your exercice on the DLR.

I suggest you ask on the mailing-list for users of IronPython for
advice on how to do that :

https://mail.python.org/mailman/listinfo/ironpython-users

I am sure someone there will be happy to help you.

Best regards,

Hi. Never got the iron ruby digests yet, did sign up, did say yes to digests, so not sure why. Who's the owner of the iron ruby list, so I can then e-mail him or her and ask why.
Marvin.

Hi. Okay, will do that. And my lectuer gave me iron ruby and installed on visual studio 2015, but could not find the templates.
Okay, will ask how to do that with visual studio 2015.
Okay if I forward the e-mail to the list, and then my questions below if that's okay.
Marvin.
