Datamapper vs ActiveRecord

I'm about to begin a small server project as a volunteer for an online bingo game that's designed to encourage using public transportation - not online gambling - no money involved! I used DataMapper in my last project but have never used ActiveRecord. Before I begin a new project, I want to do a sanity check and ask if anybody else has experience with both and if they have a good reason to prefer one over the other.
