Best way to do a dropdown list of countries in Rails 3

Hi folks,

Just wondering what's a reasonable way to present a dropdown list of
countries to the user in a Rails 3 application.

I know the old country dropdown list in Rails core years ago was
removed (probably for political reasons).

I saw this https://github.com/karmi/localized_country_select which is
probably easy to make work with Rails 3.

But was wondering if there's a better way. Not looking for a fancy
solution. Just trying to avoid a stupid solution.
