We are determined to improve our range and quality of practices, until special education is available and accessible to each and every child with special needs such as autism, down syndrome, or other learning disorders. (https://otsimo.com/en/about-us/) To maximize collaboration between the Ankara and Toronto teams, the working hours for this position are 12 pm - 8 pm TRT.
Requirements:
- Building, deploying and maintaining web applications and services.
- Experience building web applications using Ruby on Rails.
- Able to break down complicated tasks into distinct solvable pieces, prioritize what is important, iterate quickly, and write clear and reusable code.
- Experience building RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Experience with relational (eg: PostgreSQL) databases.
- Comfortable creating responsive frontend solutions using basic tools (eg: native Javascript, Bootstrap, and Handlebars).
- Enjoy putting on the DevOps hat when needed and have past experience working with various AWS services, Linux, and automation tools. You regularly show your colleague why the terminal isn’t scary :)
Also important:
- A degree in computer science/computer engineering/web development or a resume full of practical experience.
- Eager to learn new things, solve hard problems, and hustle.
- An eye for visual design and the ability to work collaboratively with designers and artists.
- Able to communicate technical concepts to non-tech team members.
- Bonus points for prior experience working on e-commerce sites (eg: Shopify), subscription products, and Subscription Billing Management Platforms (eg: Chargebee).
