AchieveMore is looking for the best and passionate full-time Ruby Developer for cloud based applications to join the crew in our start-up initiative.

As Senior Ruby Developer, you will contribute to build scalable web and mobile app, using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap, Ruby, Ruby on Rails, MySQL and MongoDB, as well as help refactor our existing services and features when needed.

WHAT YOU GET TO DO EVERY DAY:

• ·          Build and maintain web applications using Ruby on Rails and other open-source platforms and technologies
  
• ·          Write excellent code and associated tests
  
• ·          Work with a professional cross-functional team
  
• ·          Ability to work independently as well as leveraging the contributions of others
  
• ·          Versatility and ability to code both front and back end tasks
  
• ·          Proactively seek out and help to minimize pain points within the code base of the application
  
• ·          Participate in all stages of software development -from early brainstorming to coding and bug fixing
  
• ·          Act as a technical expert and be responsible for solutions you choose
  
• ·          Review code submissions of junior staff, mentoring and guiding them throughout the process
  

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE:

• ·          5+ years of proven professional web development experience.
  
• ·          Extensive knowledge of complex web development in Ruby on Rails (3+ years of proven experience);
  
• ·          Demonstrated proficiency with contemporary web standards (HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, etc.) and relevant frameworks (JQuery, Bootstrap, etc.)
  
• ·          Comfortably collaborate to define software architecture with a web focus, understanding necessary to build scalable, bank-level secure software;
  
• ·          Willingness to jump in at any level as needed (ie: coding, QA, etc);
  
• ·          Experience with Test Driven Development
  
• ·          Competency with Git/Github for source code version control and collaboration 
  
• ·          Passion for working at an early-stage company;
  
• ·          Strong communication skills
  
• ·          BS in Computer Science or Engineering is preferred.
