In line with this, we would like to invite the Philippine Ruby Users
Group Community to participate in this innovation convention by
sending 50 participants to the Globe Labs Launch on August 7.
The Globe Labs Launch covers the following:
1) Launch Globe Labs to the developer community by introducing its
program and initiatives
2) Launch two (2) Globe enablers (APIs) for registered developers
to use for application development
3) Kick-off the Globe Labs Challenge, a competition to develop
applications based on the convention's theme
4) Share technology information relevant to the development of
applications for the Telecommunications industry

Here are the steps to register for the event. NO REGISTRATION, NO ENTRY
1. Register as an individual first.
2. Login to your account.
3. There's a Globe Innovation Convention banner. Below that is the
link "To register to this event"
4. Use the event code P0A01
5. If event registration is OK, you will receive a confirmation email
which you need to print and show at the event so that the guards and
K9 will let you in :)

Also, we will be doing a demo of a globe api wrapper we did (of
course, in Ruby) and a top-secret (hehe) application using the globe
api.

Trains coming from the south will be less crowded than those coming from the
north. Those in the latter will have to be at the station by 6am, maybe
6:30am at the latest, to avoid the crowds, and even the former may be too
late. Those from the south should have an easier time. If I were commuting,
I might take the bus instead. If I were taking a car, I don't think it makes
much difference either way, because I'm familiar with the south-bound
traffic only from Shaw Blvd onwards.
As for me, I live near the area so I'm walking :) How considerate of Globe
Labs to hold the event in a place other than Makati <weg>
