If it uses ruby-prof code underneath I'd imagine it...probably adds a little overhead but not much.  I suppose the only way to really know is to use them both and see what happens :)

Yes. I am testing both now. When both are enabled is something fun in ruby-prof logs :).

What I see for now is that newrelic_rpm gem cut in-depth profiling to show only high-level calls and slowest parts of application.
