Introducing the Meetup Community Fund

At Meetup, we know that great things happen when people come together. We value the incredible work Meetup organizers like you put into building community with every event you host.

In recognition of that dedication, Meetup and Bending Spoons are excited to introduce the Community Fund, a $50,000 initiative to support exceptional organizers so their communities can continue to thrive.

The Community Fund will assist active Meetup organizers with the costs associated with building community. Community Fund award recipients will receive up to 24 months of organizing subscription fees covered by Meetup: a reimbursement for up to 12 months of past organizing fees and a 12-month credit for future organizing.

Interested in offsetting your community-building costs? Submit your application to the Community Fund by February 14, 2024.

Oh nice, thanks Mayra!

I applied on behalf of Ruby Central, although I'm not sure we fit the criteria.

Just FYI - I'm working to set up an Enterprise (or Pro?) account on behalf of all the local meetups. I'm copying the Python Software Foundation's model and paying for the meetup.com fee on behalf of the local groups now, then looking for a sponsor later on.
