Reminder for Grant Applications for Meetup Organizers

Hello Meetup Organizers!
Just sending a little reminder that the Grant Application for Meetups will be starting it's review process here shortly. Fastly, who has sponsored this grant opportunity, is very excited to see how they can get involved with supporting the local meetups and get more involved with supporting the community.
If you missed this update of information from the previous message, here's a little review:
Local meetup organizers can apply for small grants to cover essential expenses such as coffee, snacks, parking vouchers, studio rentals, and more (unfortunately alcohol cannot be included in this). These funds come from generous donations, with Fastly.com as our first sponsor! This is a trial, so feedback is very welcome!
Grant Request DetailsWho can apply? Any Ruby meetup local groups! Up to 25 grant applications can receive funding for this period.
How much? Grants of up to $300 each.
When will it happen? Applications are open now. Applications will be reviewed and approved in December of 2024, and awarded starting in January 2025.
To apply, you’ll fill out a Grant Request form with event details and a bit of logistical information. Once we wrap up our current event, RubyConf, we will begin going through these applications and reaching out directly to the individual organizers.
