I'd be happy to do a talk covering AppleScript (really Apple Events / OSA) scripting via Ruby (in Mac OS X only, unfortunately).

The talk would look at:

* What AppleScript really is (breaking out Apple Events and OSA)
* What you can do
- quick look at a scriptable app
- quick explore through Script Debugger
* Why you might not want AppleScript-the-language
* The options in Ruby
- RubyOSA
- rb-appscript
- ScriptingBridge
* Some demos
* Going back the other way - Ruby from AppleScript
* MacRuby?

Matt, I remember you did a similar talk at LRUG a while ago and I'd
love to see an update of that. I did not have a Mac at the time so
wasn't able to try out any of the cool hacks, like normalising all
your phone numbers in Address Book. This time I will! :D
