Grape Enterprise Support

Dear Grape users,

Hope you and your families are healthy.

Since 2010 Grape has welcomed 341 contributors, a dozen (co)maintainers, and tens of thousands of users, that have each built on Grape in countless projects, in production, at scale. Collectively, we've spent thousands of hours doing Grape work, without ever asking for any money in return, demonstrating the true power of open-source. For this, on behalf of all the maintainers, we genuinely thank you, and we don't plan to change anything here.

Recently, a handful of Grape maintainers agreed to find new ways for you and your commercial Enterprises to pay actual dollars in exchange for more guarantees around security, and other aspects typically included in "Enterprise" versions of software. We're giving TideLift a try, and are launching Grape for Enterprise support. TideLift has a team that supports open-source projects and works with us, Grape maintainers, as needed. If you would like to purchase Enterprise support to Grape (and thousands of other open-source dependencies), please check out this link.

Currently TideLift estimates it will send $144 a month to Grape maintainers. I have signed up my LLC to be the recipient of that money for now. I will use a few of those dollars to renew ruby-grape.org for which I've been paying for years, and use all the cash towards gathering Grape contributors for dinner in New York, post pandemic, in 2020.
