I just updated the ruby-fs-stack gem to 0.4.2.
Some roadmap items completed:
1. Better error handling - the communicator is raising exceptions when
the API throws an error.
2. There is now an option to pass a logger to the communicator to log
requests. This is compatible with the Rails logger, so you can just
pass the rails logger to the communicator.
3. Setting a person's summary is now available too.
4. Writing notes is now implemented.
Next on the roadmap:
1. Pedigree read
2. Deleting assertions
3. Refactor (familytree.rb needs to be split into smaller files w/
better organized structure)
If there are other features you'd like to see implemented, please
respond. At this point, I believe this project has surpassed the old
ruby-fs-api library in functionality.
On the spam messages, it appears that Google is still letting some
spam messages through to the group without a moderation. I've changed
the group settings to require moderation on all messages, until it
looks like things have improved.
