Is anyone from this list going to the SIIM 2013 annual meeting who would like to present ruby-dicom in our open-source plugfest?

It's two hour-long demo sessions and an optional but highly recommended poster.

I am thrilled that ruby-dicom has been selected for demonstration at the open-source plugfest in this conference (some thanks are probably owed to you Marc for this I guess), and that community member Perry Horwich has accepted the challenge of doing the actual presentation.

Let's wish him the best of luck and hope that he'll be able to recruit a few new ruby-dicom users to our small, but growing community!

Regards,
Chris

HI Chris,

Yes, looking forward to pulling it all together before the meeting in Texas :-)

Along those lines, it would be nice to hear from others who have used, tried to use, or just admire from afar, what ruby-dicom does.

Please send me a screen capture or two of some sort of thing you have written using ruby-dicom.  If you include your name and a word or two about your software, I'd love to give you some professional credit at the convention.  If you prefer to remain more anonymous, but want to help show the use we are getting from ruby-dicom, feel free to just send the screen capture or a link, and I will steadfastly promote your work and maintain your anonymity.

Personally, the current project I have using ruby-dicom makes use of more than 30 pieces of open source software.  It's a great example of open source success and I'd like to help encourage others to participate, innovate, and share.

Many thanks to all -

Perry

Marc was kind enough to extend an invitation to present at the open-source plugfest on a little project that also uses ruby-dicom (and couchdb). Great to see a strong ruby-dicom presence at SIIM! (not surprised, the gem is really a delight to work with).

Once I have a more polished version I will send some screenshots/links.

Regards,

Simon
