My guess is that those 2 dozen Timeouts would go away if you raised
the timeout to 300 seconds ;-)
No need to do anything as crazy as the benchmarks game where I let
Ruby 1.8.7 have 24,000 seconds for fannkuch-redux :-)

In the "old days" this would have been too time consuming. But with today's performance of most implementations, I think it's feasible to increase the limit. I will definitely consider it for the upcoming Linux shootout.
